Story and character development are key. SFX can enhance the production, but never replace the aforementioned.

Expectant movie goers screamed when the Thing bolted from behind the opening door.
I recently viewed "Man of Steel" and "Pacific Rim." Elements of the two tales I enjoyed; however, the super special effects, particularly employed in fight scenes, just kept going and going and . . .
Less is more.
I'm glad I have the oldies but goodies on video tape.

Since it worked once for you, this may not be the answer you seek: after inserting the youtube address on the JWN reply page, did you then click onto the chain icon to make the address clickable? As I stated in the OP, what worked on one browser, did not on another.
At this point, I continue to use IE, Chrome and Safari successfully on the forum and elsewhere.
